MARIETTA, Ohio — Freshman Mark Creamer (Saratoga, California) finished with a total two-round score of 152 (76-76) to place in a tie for seventh out of 53 competitors and lead Ohio Dominican's men's golf team to a fifth place finish at the Highland Cup Challenge at the Marietta Country Club on Monday.
Creamer's rounds of 76 set a career-best for a single round score and his 36-hole score of 152 is also a career-best.
Also finishing strong for the Panthers was junior Mitchell King (Kingston, Ontario), who shot a 162 (81-81) to finish in a tie for 24th overall and come in second for Ohio Dominican.
Freshman Nick Scott (Lewis Center, Ohio) competed in his second tournament as a Panther, shooting a 170 (84-86) to place in a tie for 35th.
Ohio Dominican's men's golf team also saw members competing in the Motor City Invitational at TPC Michigan on Sunday and Monday, with the squad finishing 10th out of 15 teams with a total score of 638.
