COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Dominican's men's golf team will play in its first tournament in nearly two weeks after last competing in the GLIAC North Tournament on September 17 and 18 at Hawkshead Links in South Haven, Michigan.
Senior Eric Thompson (Miamisburg, Ohio) led the Panthers at GLIAC North, scoring a team-best 149 (79-70) 36-hole total-score, tying for 26th place out of 69 competitors. This year, Thompson has a winning percentage of .830, with senior Austin Goodridge (Lima, Ohio) ranking second on the squad in winning percentage with a .606. Over two tournaments, Thompson carries an average round of 74, with his best round coming at GLIAC North (70). Thompson is currently on pace to score lower on the season than his career average round of 77.1.Goodridge has placed third for Ohio Dominican in each tournament so far, averaging a 149 for 36 holes and 77 for a round, better than his career-mark of 77.2.
Senior Zach Willmes (Cincinnati, Ohio) ranks third on the team in average round score so far for the Panthers, shooting an average round of 79.3 and recording a low round of 74 at the ODU Kickoff Classic (September 6).
The Panthers head to the Kyle Ryman Memorial Tournament at Mohawk Country Club in Tiffin, on October 1 and 2.
