COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's men's basketball team returned to Great Midwest Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon in Alumni Hall as they coasted past Ohio Valley by a final score of 104-76.

With the win, ODU advances to 9-4 overall and 5-1 in the conference to tie them at the top while Ohio Valley drops to 5-6 and 1-5 in the conference.

The first half was back-and-forth as there were four ties and two lead changes.

ODU jumped out to a 7-2 lead on a Varence layup but a 11-4 OVU run put the Panthers behind 13-11 at the 15:17 mark of the half.

The game would be tied at 18-18 at the 12:48 mark before an 8-0 OVU run over the next minute and a half gave the Scots the advantage. With the score 28-20 ODU would go on a 14-6 run to knot the game back up at 34 with 7:09 remaining in the half.

OVU would then push the lead out to six at 40-34 before the Panthers made a 14-3 run to take a five point advantage on a layup from Varence. It was a lead they would not give up as they took a 54-47 lead into the half.

The Scots came out of the half on a 6-0 run to cut the ODU lead to just one but a 23-4 run pushed the Panther lead up to 20 on a Hickey layup.
