The 2015-16 athletic year was filled with highlights for Ohio Dominican student-athletes. OhioDominicanPanthers.com will be counting down the top moments from last year over the next two weeks.

No. 10 – Carroll Earns All-GLIAC Honors (June 27)
No. 9 – Ellison Earns Second NCAA Regional Bid (June 28)

No. 8 - Men's Basketball Knocks Off #13 Lake Superior

The men's basketball team kicked it up a gear when playing in Alumni Hall, reeling off an 8-3 record in its home venue, with seven of those wins coming by double figures.

In its first home game in 2016, the Panthers played host to No. 13 Lake Superior State and came away with an 87-75 win, its first win over a nationally ranked opponent in its Division II era. The Panthers shot 55.6 percent from behind the three-point line and 52.9 percent from the field.

ODU trailed 68-67 with 2:51 to play, but two free throws by Trent Weaver (Columbus, Ohio) and consecutive triples by Connor Dahn (Columbus, Ohio) and Ronnie Williams (Columbus, Ohio) put the Panthers in front 75-71 with 1:39 left. Williams made a layup with 1:04 left to make it 77-72, and ODU hit 10 free throws down the stretch to pull away.

Chad Nelson (Columbus, Ohio) scored 26 points and Weaver finished with 18 points and 15 rebounds to lead ODU. Dahn scored 16 points off the bench.
