Former Ohio State standout and six-year NFL veteran Lorenzo Styles returns for a second season on the Panthers’ coaching staff and will work with the linebackers.
A two-time All-Big Ten linebacker and Butkus Award finalist with the Buckeyes, Styles was drafted in the third round by the Atlanta Falcons in 1995. He was a member of the St. Louis Rams’ 1999 Super Bowl championship team.
After his NFL career, Styles coached at Whitehall High School and also worked with the Godfrey Athletics football skills coaching camps. In 2010, he joined the staff of the Marion Mayhem, an Arena 2 Football League team, as their defensive coordinator and defensive line coach.
