IRVING, Texas – Ohio Dominican's football team had seven seniors pick up recognition from the National Football Foundation's Hampshire Honor Society, which is comprised of student-athletes who maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA and have completed their eligibility.
Honorees from Ohio Dominican included Austin Ernst, Caylib Holt, Cameron Kohl, Andrew Lorenz, Tre McIntyre, Brandon Schoen and Zack Williams.
ODU had the highest amount of honorees of any G-MAC school, was tied for the fourth-most of any Division II school, and had the fifth-most of every Ohio school across Division I, Division II and Division III.
On the field, Ohio Dominican finished with a 7-3 record and won the G-MAC title. The Panthers will kick off the 2018 season at home at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30 against California (Pa.). The Panthers have a 58-20 record since 2011 (.744), winning a pair of conference titles and making two NCAA postseason appearances in that stretch.
