Bell, Wahle Pick Up National Honors

LEESBURG, Va. – Senior defensive back Justin Bell (Columbus, Ohio) and sophomore kicker Brent Wahle (Pataskala, Ohio) were named BSN Division II Players of the Week for their performances in Ohio Dominican's 30-23 win at Northern Michigan on Saturday.

Bell was named to the defensive team after recording a game-high 13 tackles (nine solo) and breaking up two passes. He ranks 10th in the GLIAC with his 30 tackles on the season and has made 223 tackles in his career, which is fourth in school history. Bell also holds the school record for forced fumbles with seven and is third in school history with seven interceptions.

Wahle drilled three field goals and was a perfect 3-for-3 on PATs at Northern Michigan. He's made all five of his field goals on the season, leading GLIAC kickers in that category, and his 27 points is also tops amongst the conference's kickers. For his career, Wahle has made 15-of-18 field goals (83.3 percent) and 69-of-70 PATs.

Ohio Dominican takes on No. 10 Grand Valley State in its Homecoming game on noon Saturday at Panther Field.
