INDIANAPOLIS – Senior outfielder Genesis Hillard (Cincinnati, Ohio) of Ohio Dominican's baseball team was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference player of the week for the second time this season.
Hillard finished the week hitting .615 as he was 8-for 13 with three home runs, nine RBI's, eight runs scored and a stolen base. Throughout the week he also compiled a .722 on base percentage and a slugging percentage of 1.385.
The Cincinnati native had three multi-hit games against Alderson Broaddus this weekend including a 4-for-5 game two on Sunday with two home runs, seven RBI's, a walk and a double where he also scored three times and stole a base. In game one Sunday, Hillard was 2-for-2 with two walks and three runs in the 15-10 win and was 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI's, two walks and two runs in the series opener.
Hillard and the rest of the ODU baseball team is back in action as they host Cedarville for a doubleheader Wednesday in Panther Valley with the first game starting at 1 p.m.
