Panthers Remain in Midwest Region Poll for Second Week

Full Poll

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Ohio Dominican's baseball team is ranked eighth in the Midwest Region, according to the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) poll.

The Panthers, with a record of 4-2 when the votes were tallied, are now 6-3 on the season. Bolstered by a strong freshman class and solid play by its upperclassmen, ODU has won four of its past five games.

Ohio Dominican is one of four GLIAC teams appearing in the regional rankings, trailing Grand Valley State (tied for first) and Wayne State (tied for third) and in front of Ashland (ninth). The Panthers were ranked tenth in last week's poll.

ODU continues its spring trip to Florida at 2 p.m. Thursday with a contest against Minnesota-Duluth.
