Black & Gold Event Most Successful To Date

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio Dominican Third Annual Black & Gold Event, held on August 7 in Alumni Hall, was the most successful yet, drawing more than 600 attendees and raising approximately $102,000 for athletics.

That amount far exceeds the goal set by the University and is $20,000 more than what was raised last year.

ODU welcomed former Ohio State University basketball player and current CBS Sports analyst Clark Kellogg as the keynote speaker, and NBC4 Sports Director Jerod Smalley as this year’s emcee.

ODU’s Black & Gold Event continues to grow larger and more successful every year.  The first event, which was held in 2010, raised $60,000.  Last year’s event raised approximately $80,000.

The Black & Gold Club provides financial support for ODU intercollegiate athletics, and assists student-athletes, coaches and Athletic Department staff in achieving success on and off the field. The fundraiser included a dinner, silent and live auctions, and a raffle.
